Ride the Gingerbread Express
Guests at Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago will be transported to a holiday wonderland in the Gingerbread Express. Following its debut last year and open throughout the holiday season, the property has designated one special elevator traveling up to the award-winning restaurant, Sixteen, dressed to the nines in everyone's favorite holiday indulgences - gingerbread and candy canes. Conceptualized by the Trump Chicago Pastry Team, guests will enter the Express through four-foot high candy canes, to be greeted by the sweet aromas of the season, celebratory holiday music, and more than 1100 gingerbread bricks made especially by the pastry team. The Gingerbread Express is sure to be the most spirited ride of the season!

Reindeer on the River promises a cheerful afternoon of entertainment showcasing several VIP guests - two live reindeer and Santa! Scheduled to coincide with the BMO Harris Bank Magnificent Mile Lights Festival on Saturday, November 22, 2013, Reindeer on the River is complimentary to all visitors and will take place from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Riverwalk at Trump Chicago. Adjacent to the Magnificent Mile, the Riverwalk is accessible via both the Wrigley Building breezeway and Wabash Avenue and allows for pedestrian traffic directly along the Chicago River.

On Thanksgiving Day, Sixteen brings the year's bountiful harvest to life by presenting a festive brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. inside the stunning dining room, which affords breathtaking views of Chicago's architectural landscape, the Chicago River and Lake Michigan. Guests can indulge in traditional Thanksgiving favorites and other specialty items during the festive brunch buffet.
An assortment of seasonal entrée specialties will abound, including Cider Braised Leg and Seared Breast of Poussin with caramelized pumpkin and toasted hickory nut hash, and Seared Diver Scallop with sweet potato hash and balsamic walnut brown butter. The Carving Stations will serve popular mouth-watering items such as Roasted Heritage Breed Turkey Breast with giblet gravy and house made cranberry compote, and Garlic Roasted Prime Rib with jus, Dijon and horseradish cream. Guests may also enjoy a Raw Bar, where a selection of sushi, colossal shrimp, oysters, snow crab legs and Alaskan king crab will await, as well as other stations offering artisan cheeses and charcuterie; made-to-order omelets and pancakes; made-to-order risotto; and a Children's Table laden with favorite Thanksgiving treats.
To complete Thanksgiving brunch at Sixteen, Executive Pastry Chef Aya Fukai has prepared an array of seasonally inspired desserts to add sweet and spice to the holiday meal.

Sixteen will be open for dinner beginning at 6 p.m., offering a warm and inviting setting for those looking to enjoy a celebratory evening meal. Executive Chef Lents will offer innovative items from the autumn menu, along with dessert creations presented by Executive Pastry Aya Fukai.
Ideal for a Thanksgiving feast, the seasonal menu at Sixteen commemorates The Faces of Sixteen-a series of courses inspired by the stories and history of the individuals who comprise the day-to-day success of Sixteen - dishwashers, line cooks, sous chefs, servers, hosts, farmers, purveyors, and many others. The menu features preparations of New Zealand langoustine, wild sturgeon and Ossetra caviar, turbot from the Brittany Coast and poussin. Dessert courses include a black walnut cake with Bordeaux soaked prunes, mascarpone and frozen Tainori mousse and a apple cake with maple yogurt, fenugreek ice cream and lemon balm. On Thanksgiving evening, special holiday additions will accompany the seasonal menu offerings.

An elaborate brunch at Sixteen will ease guests from their New Year's Eve festivities into a marvelous start to 2014. Chef Lents will present a lavish brunch that will satiate comfort food cravings for the whole family. In addition to a colorful array of soups, salads, charcuterie, raw bar and breakfast items, diners will have an opportunity to select from bustling action stations offering omelets, sushi/nigiri, carved specialty meats and fish, and more. A Kids Table will include all of their favorites, from mini burgers to grilled cheese sandwiches.
