Tranquil Treatments for Spring, Mother’s Day Packages and Outdoor Classes for Warm Weather Workouts
CHICAGO – April 19, 2012 – With the warm weather months approaching the City of Chicago, The Spa at Trump® atTrump International Hotel & Tower® Chicago is pleased to introduce a variety of new retail, fitness, and spa specials that will be available at varying times throughout the spring and summer months, designed to provide a fresh approach to health and wellness. From aromatherapy treatments focused on health and Zumba classes to Mother’s Day packages and outdoor bootcamp for bathing suit season, the new programming offered at the downtown Chicago 14,000 square-foot state-of-the-art spa will relax, rejuvenate, and energize guests, ensuring a healthy outlook when summertime arrives. Stress-Relieving Specials
With the spring months dedicated to health awareness -- April is Stress Awareness Month and May is Arthritis Awareness -- The Spa at Trump invites guests to take advantage of rejuvenating specials that promote self-reflection and relaxation. Available through May 31 (and year-round whenever tension builds), the spa’s unique stress-relieving offers include:
- Fitness Classes
- Zumba – The best way to relieve stress? Dance! Fitness amateurs and trained athletes alike will have fun while working up a sweat and toning their bodies during this vibrant hour-long class that fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow dance moves, complemented by resistance training segments. (Saturdays at 10 a.m. during the month of April; $30 for non-members and hotel guests.)
- Move Well – Learn how to move efficiently and effectively with a focus on form and technique during this one-hour class led by Spa at Trump Trainer Victoria Gray. Full-body, functional, dynamic and multiplanar exercises will provide an inspiring, rejuvenating workout, during which Gray will access and correct any weaknesses, muscular imbalances, limitations, or asymmetries. (Thursdays at 8:30 a.m. during the month of May; $30 for non-members and hotel guests.)
- Spa Treatments and Retail Specials
- Aroma-Infused Massage – This personalized experience transports guests to a deep state of relaxation by combining the art of massage with the healing benefits of botanical oils reflecting one of the five Trump Intentions: Calm, Balance, Purify, Heal, and Revitalize. (60-minutes; $160).
- Sprayology – The Spa at Trump’s retail boutique is thrilled to offer this new line of homeopathic products that naturally enhance healing and well-being by marrying science and time-honored natural medicine with convenience and innovation. Sprayology uniquely provides four separate therapeutic benefits – symptom relief, metabolic support, immune system maintenance and detoxification – utilizing a single product, offering a holistic, fast-acting solution to common ailments.
Sprayology’s popular Daily Health Essentials Trio Kit ($65), featuring the ImmunoBooster, Body Balance, and B-12 + Folic Acid sprays, offers Echinacea and adrenal support to ward off exhaustion, while the Natural Essential Oil Patches ($20 each) provide relief for specific ailments, including the Soothing Aches & Pains, Calming, Enchanted Energy, and Relaxing Sleep formulas.
- Quasar MD – Especially appropriate for Arthritis Awareness Month, the Quasar MD ($795) uses technology developed by NASA for healing in space to emit a red, infrared light that soothes and stimulates skin, boosting blood flow and circulation to decrease joint and muscle pain. Inspired by professional aestheticians but designed for at-home use, the Quasar MD ($795) is available for purchase at The Spa at Trump’s retail boutique. Complimentary Quasar MD enhancements (a $95 value) will also be available to guests who book a 90-minute Therapeutic Massage ($225) exclusively during the month of May.

Throughout the month of May, The Spa at Trump will offer four unique gemstone-inspired packages, designed to gift Mom with relaxing experiences, whether she has time for a pedicure and glass of Champagne or can devote an entire afternoon to pure pampering. With packages ranging from $190 to $534, each line-up of customized experiences will leave Mom feeling rejuvenated and thankful for the loving gift. Options include:

Summertime Sweat Sessions
Fitness enthusiasts and yogis alike who want to break free from their monotonous workout routines will revel in new summertime programming at The Spa at Trump, which includes:
- Riverwalk Bootcamp – Beginning on Tuesday, July 10, The Spa at Trump will introduce Riverwalk Bootcamp, an intense, 12-week training course led by Master Trainer Luis Bracamonte. Held semi-weekly on Tuesdays at 6 p.m. and Saturdays at 9 a.m., this class will meet on the Riverwalk and use expansive outdoor areas and public spaces – such as Grant Park, Ohio Street Beach, Navy Pier, and paths along Lake Michigan – and bands, body weight, and jump ropes in lieu of an indoor gym and traditional workout machines. Designed for guests of all fitness levels, Bracamonte will focus his sessions on bodyweight training modality such as isometrics and plyometrics and educate members on ergonomics and lifestyle changes to ensure an experience of total-body wellness, even offering 24-hour online support for attendees’ workout and nutrition questions.
The 12-week Riverwalk Bootcamp series costs $720 ($30 per class) for non-members and $400 ($16 per class) for members. Overnight guests of Trump Chicago can join individual classes for $30 per class. Space is limited to 12 attendees to ensure individualized attention and a safe training environment.
- Weight Management Semi-Private Training – As an extension of its personal training program, The Spa at Trump invites guests to discover the benefits of one-on-one fitness instruction with the launch of a new Weight Management Semi-Private Training course. During this six-week, 18-class series, attendees will experience hour-long workout sessions with a certified trainer in a small, focused group, utilizing the spa’s array of cardio and weight-training machines, as well as personalized resistance-themed exercises, for dynamic total-body workouts. In addition to the 18 exercise classes, guests will also join two health and wellness seminars, focused on nutrition counseling and coaching.
Scheduled to begin in early May, the Weight Management Semi-Private Training Course costs $1,500 for non-members and $1,000 for members.
- Awakening Yoga – Offering a stunning setting along the Chicago River and challenging, meditative workout led by Certified Trainer Toni Scott, The Spa at Trump’s Awakening Yoga will take place every Wednesday at 7 a.m. beginning in early June. ($30 for non-members)
