Trump Hotel Collection Appoints George Sotelo Managing Director of Doral Golf Resort & Spa
Veteran Hotelier to Usher Iconic Miami Resort Through Major Renovation and Transition to TRUMP HOTEL COLLECTION
NEW YORK – June 18, 2012 – George Sotelo has been named managing director of Miami’s legendary Doral Golf Resort & Spa, the latest addition to the award-winning TRUMP HOTEL COLLECTION™. The veteran hotelier will lead Doral through its reflagging and a multimillion-dollar renovation that will dramatically upgrade all aspects of the resort and elevate the guest experience.

Sotelo comes to Doral Golf Resort & Spa from the highly acclaimed One&Only Palmilla in Los Cabos, Mexico, where he served as general manager for the past seven years.
Prior to One&Only Palmilla, Sotelo held senior level positions with Grand Bay Resorts, Sonesta Beach Resort Intercontinental Hotels.
Sotelo is a graduate of Florida International University, with a degree in hospitality management. His professional affiliations include the Luxury Hoteliers Association, National Restaurant Association, International Food Service Association and American Hotel & Motel Association.
Doral Golf Resort& Spa’s $200 million renovation will restore Doral to its former grandeur and dramatically reposition all aspects of the resort with luxurious hotel rooms and a greatly enhanced guest experience throughout the public spaces. Renovation of the main building, lodges, conference areas, spa and Champions Pavilion will set a new tone for the resort, while the Members’ Clubhouse will be redesigned to include vastly upgraded facilities and amenities. All five golf courses will be enhanced,
including the world-famous Blue Monster, and the driving range will be lengthened and expanded to more than twice its current size, making it a world-class facility befitting of the resort.
