2016 World Golf Championships-Cadillac Championship
March 3 - 6, 2016
The World Golf Championships-Cadillac Championship in Miami is one of the most elite and exciting tournaments on golf's calendar. It is elite because it is more than just an average PGA TOUR event. The Cadillac brand represents all that is Miami: energy, glamour, innovation and luxury. Combined with the prestige of the PGA TOUR and the Trump standard of excellence, this makes the Cadillac Championship a must-attend event at this golf course in Miami.
Congratulations to Dustin Johnson. The 2015 Champion walked off the 18th green after his one-shot win at the World Golf Championships-Cadillac Championship.
HOST TO THE WORLD'S BEST GOLFERS
The famed Blue Monster Course has played host to the PGA TOUR for almost 55 years. In fact, virtually every great name in golf has had a moment of personal triumph at this world-class venue. In 2014, the field consisted of all 50 players of the top 50 in the world - the first time all top 50 players have played in any event since the 2012 PGA Championship. Fans attending the Cadillac Championship can expect to see players like 2013 Champion and seven-time winner of the Cadillac Championship, Tiger Woods, as well as 2014 Champion Patrick Reed, 2015 Champion Dustin Johnson, and top players Rory McIlroy, Phil Mickelson, Ernie Els, Justin Rose and Adam Scott... just to name a few.
MORE THAN JUST GOLF: FASHION, MUSIC AND ENTERTAINMENT
In addition to the thrilling competition on the course, the tournament is swiftly becoming a must-attend international social event. In 2015, the tournament featured a Dolce & Gabana fashion experience hosted by Ivanka Trump and music from the Miami Heat's very own, DJ Irie. On Saturday, fans could attend a concert from the legendary Santana. Outside of the shows, fans could see celebrities lining the red carpet with appearances from cast members of Bravo's The Real Housewives series, the Trump family, Miss Universe Paulina Vega and more.
THE BIGGEST TROPHY
Proceeds from the Cadillac Championship primarily benefit numerous charities in South Florida including The First Tee of Miami and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County. Since its inception just more than a decade ago, the Cadillac Championship has generated more than $11 million for charity. The World Golf Championships as a whole have generated more than $40 million for charitable causes since the series began in 1999. The PGA TOUR is nearing $2 billion in charitable dollars generated by its tournaments, more than the NFL, NBA and NHL combined.
AN INTERNATIONAL AFFAIR
The Cadillac Championship is one in a series of four World Golf Championships events sanctioned and organized by the operational committee of the International Federation of PGA Tours, which includes the Asian Tour, European Tour, Japan Golf Tour, PGA TOUR, PGA Tour of Australasia and Sunshine Tour. The Cadillac Championship is broadcast to approximately 800 million households in 224 countries and territories in 31 languages outside of the United States.
