Guest Rooms & Suites
Donald Trump and Ivanka Trump have been working alongside famed architects Beyer Blinder Belle and interior design consultants Hirsch Bedner Associates to create spectacular guest accommodations unmatched in the city. Trump International Hotel Washington, D.C. will feature broad, 14 foot-wide carpeted corridors ringing the perimeter of the towering nine-story atrium, granting privacy and access to the 263 expansive guestrooms and suites. The richly luxurious guestrooms, among the largest in the city, are retaining the original stately solid wood doors, wainscoting and detailed wall paneling. The 14 to 16 foot ceilings, soaring windows, glittering crystal sconces and chandeliers are a study in refined elegance with a palette of Federal blues, creams and ivories, paired with soft gold and silver accents, and punctuated with deep red. The American design aesthetic will be expressed through the use of thick wool carpets, stone tops and richly polished wood furnishings. Mirror elements will reflect the rooms' natural light. Expansive five-fixture bathrooms will feature six-foot tubs, wood vanities with rich marble tops, and polished brass hardware. A sophisticated guestroom art program will tell the story of The Old Post Office.
"This project is about the past meeting the future in a seamless pairing that will result in a level of luxury previously unseen in this market," - Ivanka Trump
There are 32 luxurious suites of various configurations including the three extraordinary Presidential Suites, each with its own unique style and amenities. The two largest at 3,500 and 6,300 square feet, have exceptional space as well as interesting “addresses.” The 3,500 square foot suite is located in the historic former offices of the Postmaster General, and is three times the size of the White House’s Oval Office. At that time in history, the position of Postmaster General was so prestigious that the person was a Cabinet Member. Today the former offices are being restored to be a two bedroom suite, including original fireplaces, solid wood doors and moldings, and offering unique amenities of a separate dining room with pantry and service entry, double walk-in closets, two-person shower, and secured private elevator access. With a private Pennsylvania Avenue entrance, the 6,300 square foot. suite is the largest in Washington, D.C. and among the largest in the country. It will feature a twenty seat Formal Dining Room, a 600 square foot Living Room, and a private exercise room. The six-fixture bath of the Master Bath includes an oversized steam shower and large free standing tub. This two-bedroom suite is unmatched in the city in size, style and amenities, and will be in high demand.
"This building exemplifies iconic American grandeur. Our design draws on the legacy and integrity of this great landmark but it is executed in a thoroughly modern way." -Ivanka Trump
